Astable Project
This project introduces astable circuits and
also other important concepts including how resistance and
capacitance affect timing circuits and the use of a transistor as a
switch. There are a number of possible outcomes for the circuit
including electronic decorations, a police car/fire engine or
advertising. A unique training
system is also available for use
alongside this project to assist students with making important
design decisions,
-
Frequency of
the astable circuit can be varied
-
Different
outputs can be used
-
Battery-powered
-
The PCB has
space for up to five outputs on either side
-
Professional
double-sided PCB with silkscreen and solder-resist
-
3 versions
available for maximum flexibility
-
Blank PCBs
are available separately
-
-
Suitable for Key Stages 2, 3 & 4
(ages 7 to 16)
- Documentation and PDF schematic available

As
option 1 but with 8 LEDs, 2 red, 2 green, 2 yellow, 2 orange
Why not add buzzers to make a siren with flashing lights?
It is possible to change kit contents for example
LED sizes and colours and components can be upgraded, for example
changing the DPDT slide switch for a round rocker switch. If
you have particular requirements please contact
