Operational Amplifer Comparator Project
This project has been designed to introduce the important concept of operational amplifier comparator circuits to students. This circuit is very important as it features heavily in KS4 curriculums. It has been designed to have more than one possible outcome and therefore more than one application. It allows for good differentiation. A unique training system is also available for use alongside this project to assist students with making important design decisions.
-
Uses a dual power supply
-
The point at which the output changes state can be changed with a variable reference resistor
-
Can be used with various sensor inputs such as an LDR or thermistor
-
Battery-powered
-
PCB has space for a transistor to allow higher powered outputs to be added which can be used to introduce transducer drivers
-
Clear silkscreen text has been used to make construction simpler
-
Professional double-sided PCB with silkscreen and solder-resist
-
3 different project options are available for maximum flexibility
-
Blank PCBs are available
-
-
-
Suitable for Key Stages 2, 3 & 4 (ages 11 to 16)
